Tianjin Experimental High School (TEHS) and Trimit High school signed the "Agreement on Establishing Confucius Class" on 10th March, 2006 after years of cooperation. With approval from the NOTC (National Office of China for Teaching Chinese as a foreign language), the Confucius institute was founded.

Trimit High School, with a history of 109 years, lies in Chinese Town -- the economic center of BangKoK. The Chinese Language Education Center and Chinese Language courses were set up in 1999. Trimit High School was regarded as "Chinese Education -- enter for primary and high school students n Thailand" in 2000.

During the "Diamond Cup Chinese Competitor" held in Thailand in 2004 and 2002, thousands of students from four countries took part in it, displaying their great enthusiasm for the Chinese language.

Assistance will be given to the designing of Chinese language teaching syllabus or schemes in Thailand. TEHS will send qualified teachers to Trimit Middle School to give guidance to the Chinese teaching there and train volunteer Chinese teachers sent from China to Thailand.

It will design Chinese language certification teaching programs with Chinese teaching colleges in China, open different Chinese courses to cater to different people, especially to students going to China to study Chinese. Services for information searching or library files will be accessible in the institute.
