Puppet Manchukuo's Royal Palace Museum founded in 1962, is located in Guangfu Road of the northeast corner of Changchun, covering an area of 12 hectares; it was the palace of the puppet emperor of Puppet Manchukuo Aixinjueluo Pu Yi, who had lived here from 1932 to 1945. The main building of palace of Puppet Manchukuo are a group of two-storey small buildings with the cover of yellow glazed tile to the top, including the Qinming Building, Jixi Building and Tongde Hall. These three houses are the combination of Chinese and Western pattern with unique style. It was affiliated with the Museum of Jilin Province after it was established. In 1982 it was restored and in 1984 it was opened to receive views officially with the original name of Jilin Puppet Manchukuo's Exhibition Hall. In 2000 it was transferred to Changchun Municipal government for administration, on February 18, 2001 it was renamed as Puppet Manchukuo's Royal Palace Museum.It covers a scope of protection of 137,000 square meters, exhibition area of 47,000 square meters; it has existing staff of 161 and nearly 20,000 items of cultural relics. Since the opening of the museum it has received nearly 500 million viewers at home and abroad and was evaluated as national AAAAA scenic area (on May 8, 2007) and the outstanding patriotism education base.
