Mount Changbai spans acorss the southeastern border of North Korea, just like a dragon with flashing scale, towering into the sky. It enjoys equal fame with the Five Famous Mountains known as the first mountain in the east of Shanhaiguan with its charming scenery. It gets the name from the main peak Mt. Paektu which boosts white floatstone and snow, and enjoys the reputation that “With thousands of years of white snow and pines, Mount Changbai is everlasting under heaven.”
