Situated along the Taihu Lake on the western suburbs of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, CCTV Film & Television Productions Co., Ltd. (CCTV Co., Ltd.) is the first list A-share Company to run both movie/TV industry and cultural tourism in China. It has gone through a shareholding reform mainly on the studio Town of Tang Dynasty and Town of Three Kingdoms that formerly belonged to the Wuxi Film studio of CCTV, and it is now held by five corporations such as China International Television Corporation.

As the first planned film studio in China, the Wuxi exterior shooting studio of CCTV began its history in 1987, and is now equipped with a whole set of film installments and professional technical staffs. By now it has completed the construction of the scenic area of the Tang Dynasty Town and the Three Kingdoms and Water Margins Town, covering a land area over 247.5 ares and a water area over 495 ares. With its unique natural scenery, grandiose cultural landscape and complete film & TV services, the CCTV Wuxi Film/TV Studio has attracted numerous film or TV production teams and tourists home and abroad over the past decade, which resultantly, promoted the prosperity of China’s film industry and the local economic development of Wuxi City.
