Being 300kms from Hangzhou and 70km from Wenzhou, the MountYandang sets most parts in Leqing city of Wenzhou, Zhenjiang Province, with a few others in Yongjia County and Wenling city, With a history dating back from the Southern and Northern Dynasties, the mountain gained its prosperity in the Tang dynasty and reached its prime in the Song Dynasty, owning the reputation as “The most impressive wonder” and “the significant mountain in the sea”. Being regarded as the top mountain in the Southeast area, Yandang Mountain covers an area of 450m2，where over 500 scenery spots are distributed in 8 areas, making the unique scene of strange rocks, ancient holes and stone chambers and flying waterfalls. Among them the Lingfeng, Lingyan and Dalongqiu scenery spots are regarded as Three Wonders of the Yandang Mountain, especially the nightscape of Lingfeng and the Liongyan Feidu (a kind of acrobatic performance) which may even ranks the most impressive in China. There is a lake on the mountain top where reeds and grass are flourish and thick enough to provide nests for the swallows returning from the north in the autumn，and this is how the Mountain get its name as Yandang (swallow nest).
