VIENTIANE, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The Lao stock market finished on Monday with composite index unchanged at 987.62.

A total of 24,225 shares worth about 119 million Lao kip (about 15,000 U.S. dollars) changed hands at the stock market.

There are only two companies listed at the Lao stock market, which are Laos' largest commercial bank Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao (BCEL) and state-run energy giant Electricite du Laos Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen). The share price of the two companies remained stable at 6,500 kip (about 81 U.S. cents), and 4,800 kip (about 60 U.S. cents) respectively.
