ACC Organized a Business Tour to Baigou New City for ASEAN Diplomats in China

On 19 October 2012, ACC organized a business tour to Baigou New City of Baoding in Hebei Province of China for ASEAN diplomats in China, in cooperation with the Exhibition Center of China Light Industry. The event was attended by Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang of ACC, Director Fang Min from the Exhibition Center of China Light Industry, H.E. Ambassador Magdalene Teo from Brunei, Economic Counsellor Ms. Pol Neary Tann from Cambodia, Minister Counsellor Mr. Khampanh Sengthongkham from Laos, Economic Counsellor Mr. Zafrullah Masahud from the Pillippines, and Minister Counsellor Ms. Ureeral Ralanaprukse from Thailand. The delegation visited Baigou International Luggage Market and Long Ji Tai He Industry Group, and had talks with the local government officials and business representatives.

Baigou is named as the “Capital of Bags and Luggages in China”, which is the largest trading and producing base for bags and luggages in China, with over 700 million bags and luggages produced per year and business network established with more than 130 countries and regions.

The purpose of the visit is to enhance the understanding of the specialized markets in China by ASEAN Embassies and explore the way to expand the bilateral trade in the related area.
