Mr. Ma Mingqiang met with Tourism Minister of Malaysia

On 14 November 2012, Mr. Ma Mingqiang, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre met with Dato’Sri Dr. YEN YEN NG, Tourism Minister of Malaysia in Shanghai. Mr. Ma Mingqiang briefed Dr. Yen Yen NG of the work ACC has done to facilitate tourism cooperation between China and Malaysia, and ACC’s efforts to promote tourism attractions of Malaysia. Talking about plans for next steps, Mr. MA said that ACC was helping to form a investment consortium consisting of private entrepreneurs to invest tourism facilities in Malaysia, and would appreciate supports from Malaysian Government. Dr. Yen Yen NG expressed her gratitude to Mr. Ma for what ACC has done to attract Chinese travellers to Malaysia as well as Malaysian Government's welcome for Chinese investors. The two parties also discussed the promotion of newly emerging destinations in Malaysia and “Malaysia-My Second Home”.
