Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang Paid an Official Call on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia

On March 15, Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang paid an official call on Director-General of ASEAN Cooperation I Gusti Agung of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry in Jakarta.

Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang briefed Director-General I Gusti about the work done by the ASEAN-China Center (ACC) for the promotion of practical cooperation between China and ASEAN in trade, investment, education, culture, tourism and other fields. Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang thanked the Indonesian government and the Indonesian Embassy in China for their support and pledged for further cooperation with Indonesia so as to jointly push forward China-Indonesia practical cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, tourism and other fields.

Director-General I Gusti welcomed Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang and fully acknowledged the ACC’s achievements over the year in promoting cooperation between ASEAN and China in various fields. Director-General I Gusti said that the Indonesian government attached high importance to and supported the ACC, and the Indonesian Foreign Ministry would soon assign an official to work in the ACC. Indonesia will continue to make good use of the platform and resources provided by the ACC to deepen its cooperation with China in all fields.

Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang said that the ACC was ready for and looked forward to the arrival of the colleague from ASEAN and would like to facilitate his or her work in the ACC.
