ACC Coordinated Filming of Featured Programs on Laos

In April 2013, the ACC brought a camera crew from China Central Television to Laos for featured programs on the country to promote its tourism resources and national image. Besides natural scenery and historical and cultural sites, the special feature also included an impromptu interview given by Hon. Khampheng Saysompheng of the Party Secretary of Luang Prabang Province at the New Year Festival of Laos. He expressed appreciation to the ACC for the initiative to promote Laos's image and said that with Luang Prabang Province close to China's Xishuangbanna Prefecture and a new airport built on the Chinese aid, the country is ready to welcome Chinese investment and tourists and would provide services and support towards this end.

While working on the featured programs in the province, the camera crew was also invited to Dr. Khampheng's family for New Year celebrations. Vice President Bounnhang Vorachith of Laos and his wife also joined the event. He thanked the ACC for putting together this program. The camera crew received strong support for their work from the Chinese Embassy in Laos and the team sent to Luang Prabang Province to set up the Chinese Consulate General.
