On 2 May 2013, the ACC Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang visited the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and met with Secretary-General Shao Wei. They exchanged ideas on promoting ASEAN-China cooperation in education, especially in vocational education, and reached preliminary agreement in further cooperation.
The CEAIE was founded in 1981 as a national organization for China's education sector to engage in international non-governmental exchanges and cooperation. It has 159 member institutions and has established partnerships with over 170 education organizations and groups in 50 countries and regions.
