On 13 August 2013, ASEAN-China Centre signed MoU with The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) in Bangkok, Thailand. Secretary-General Ma Mingqiang of ACC and Dr. Witaya Jeradechakul, Director of SEAMEO Secretariat signed the MoU, which would enhance mutual consent to consider each other as gateway and would implement several cooperation programs in the following two years, in regard to cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN in education.
Mr. Ma Mingqiang visited SEAMEO Secretariat and had a discussion of further cooperation with Dr. Witaya Jeradechakul.
SEAMEO is an international organization established in 1965 among governments of Southeast Asian countries to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture in the region and its headquarter is located in Bangkok, Thailand.
