At the sidelines of the Exhibition of Contemporary Paintings by Renowned Chinese Artists held in Bangkok on 13-18 August 2013，H.E. Mr. Li Zhaoxing, President of China Public Diplomacy Association met Dr. Bhokin Bhalakula, President of Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association of Thailand and other members of the association at Plaza Athenée Hotel, Bangkok, on 13 August 2013. Mr. Ma Mingqiang, the Secretary General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and his ACC team attended the event.
The meeting was fruitful and paved a way forward to enhance future cooperation between China Public Diplomacy Association and Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association of Thailand, as well as between the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association of Thailand and ACC.
During the meeting, roles and functions of ACC as the only inter-governmental organization established by the Governments of 10 ASEAN Member States and China were highlighted as a one-stop centre to promote functional cooperation in trade & investment, tourism, education and culture. H.E. Mr. Li Zhaoxing commended the efforts of ACC to enhance cultural exchanges and people-to-people connectivity between China and Thailand and China and ASEAN by organizing the Exhibition. Dr. Bhokin Bhalakula also spoke about the Association’s policy to enhance cooperation both between Thailand and China, and ASEAN and China. Both sides looked forward to constructive cooperation in future.
