ACC will launch a TV documentary “Taste·Southeast Asia” during Chinese Spring Festival of 2014. A food-featured documentary backdropped by tourist attractions in ASEAN, the show was co-produced by China Central TV, with its 1st season airing on CCTV-10, Science & Education Channel, from Feb. 4-8, 2014 during the Spring Festival in China.
The documentary is one of the efforts by ACC to consolidate people-to-people connections between ASEAN and China. To showcase the land, people and culture in ASEAN through food, the show aims at equipping the viewers in China with up-to-date information on ASEAN, so to increase the travel volume between ASEAN and China. With nearly one year’s preparation and shooting, the production team went to Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, 5 out of 10 ASEAN countries to dig out the most authentic and popular foods by meeting up the people who made them. The people and their stories behind those foods were presented in the show too.
During the winter Spring Festival, “Tast·Southeast Asia ” will show us an amazing tour to ASEAN by a close-up watch of the unique taste of the food.
