On 2 September 2014, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), in collaboration with Ms. Rita Zhao, convened a lecture as a part of the 6th “My ASEAN and China” Multimedia Art Exhibition Series “Colorful Symphony: Wonderful ASEAN and China” at Guiyang Pre-school Education College, the first school for training and developing pre-school teachers in Guizhou, where hundreds of students and faculty lecturers actively participated in.
The lecture provided a great opportunity for the participants to learn about beautiful sceneries, cultures, traditions and customs of the 10 ASEAN countries and China from Ms. Rita Zhao’s memorable experiences while she visited these 11 countries. Vivid and colorful photos were displayed, beautiful songs were sung, games were played to elaborate on the theme “Colorful Symphony: Wonderful ASEAN and China” of the 6th “My ASEAN and China” Multimedia Art Exhibition Series, co-organized by ACC, the Education Department of Guizhou Province and Guiyang Pre-school Education College at Guiyang International Eco-conference Centre on 1-3 September 2014 as a part of the 7th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW).
The students and faculty lecturers admired Ms. Rita Zhao for her passion and love on ASEAN countries and China and thanked ACC for organizing such a meaningful event. On behalf of ACC, Ms. Lada Phumas, Director of Information and Public Relations Division (IPRD), joined the lecture and had an interactive dialogue with the students. This enabled the students to know more about ASEAN and China, illustrating an important role of ACC to enhance mutual trust and better understanding among the young generation for sustainable cooperation between ASEAN and China. The lecture was proven to be successful and the students were eager to do future research to discover more about ASEAN countries and friends.
