Director Li Yuan Met with Deputy Directors of Bureau of Economic Cooperation of Gansu Province

On 22 January 2015, Mr. Li Yuan, Director of Trade and Investment Division (TID) of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with Mr. Zhao Dongbin and Mr. Wu Zhengyong, Deputy Directors of Bureau of Economic Cooperation of Gansu Province.

The Deputy Directors made an introduction on the efforts Gansu Province had made in promoting international trade and investment. They mentioned in July this year, the Bureau of Economic Cooperation would host the 21st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair, with the theme of “One Belt, One Road”. The event would be consisted of three parts: theme discussion, trade and investment matching activities and exhibition. They hoped ACC could give its assistance in inviting officials and enterprises from ASEAN countries to the event. 

Director Li Yuan said ASEAN was the priority in building the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st Century. Enhancing ASEAN-China trade relations served the common interests of both sides. ACC, as a one-stop information and activities centre, would assist in connecting ASEAN with China’s local governments. 

Mr. Mouavixay Palee, Deputy Director of TID was also present at the meeting.
