On 28 February 2015, Mr. Tri Purnajaya, Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD) of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with Ms. Liu Wenjun, a participant of the 2015 Indonesian Arts and Culture Scholarship. The Scholarship Program, organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provided opportunities for the participants to discover and learn about Indonesian culture and ASEAN, and was granted to the qualified participants from ASEAN+3 countries. Ms. Liu Wenjun, whose nomination was facilitated by ACC, passed the selection process, run by the Indonesian Government. Mr. Tri Purnajaya encouraged Ms. Liu Wenjun to make good use of the opportunity to learn as much as possible about ASEAN and Indonesia, and hoped that she would become the envoy of friendship between ASEAN and China. Ms. Liu Wenjun is a program officer of Prince Gung’s Mansion, a major national cultural heritage of China. The program would further promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between ASEAN and China and help Chinese young generation learn more about ASEAN and Indonesia.
