Taicang Official Delegation Visited ACC

On 2 March 2015, an official delegation led by Mr. Wang Jianfeng, Municipal Party Secretary of Taicang City, Jiangsu Province visited ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). Ms. Huang Ying, Acting Secretary-General and Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD), Mr. Li Yuan, Director of Trade and Investment Division (TID) of ACC, and relevant officials of ACC, exchanged views with the delegation.

Mr. Wang Jianfeng introduced the development of Taicang. He expressed the willingness to use the unique geographical advantage of Taicang to strengthen tangible cooperation with ASEAN countries, so as to contribute to the building of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Ms. Huang Ying thanked Taicang Municipal Government for its warm reception of the visit of the delegation of ACC Joint Council Members in December 2014. She briefed the delegation on the role of ACC and its efforts in promoting ASEAN-China relations. Director Li Yuan introduced current development of ASEAN-China economic and trade cooperation, and shared views on enhancing cooperation in the area of trade and investment between Taicang and ASEAN countries. Both sides agreed to further strengthen exchanges and continue to explore possible cooperation programmes, with a view to further boosting ASEAN-China relations.
