On 10 April 2015, Ms. Huang Ying, Acting Secretary-General and Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD) of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the 16th ASEAN-China Joint Cooperation Committee (ACJCC) Meeting, at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. The Meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN, and H.E. Ambassador Chombhala Chareonying, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN. Members of the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) to ASEAN, officials of the ASEAN Secretariat, delegates from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, State Oceanic Administration and the Government of Fujian Province, were present.
During the Meeting, Ms. Huang expressed her appreciation for ACJCC’s invitation and briefly introduced ACC’s recent work, especially the progress of the Mid-term Review of ACC. She said that the Mid-term Review had great significance to the development of the ACC and it had been going smoothly. The ACC Secretariat would continue to push forward relevant work and fully play the role of one-stop information and activities centre, so as to further contribute to the functional cooperation between ASEAN and China. Ms. Huang expected that ACC would continue to receive strong support from ACJCC.
