On 8 April 2015, China-Myanmar Buddhism Art Exchanges Exhibition was opened at Shwedagon Pagoda, Yangon. The exhibition was organized by Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC), China-Myanmar Friendship Association, the People’s Government of Beijing Shijingshan District and Myanmar-China Friendship Association. H.E. Mr. Yang Houlan, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, Dr. Myint Thein, Minister of Social Affairs of Yangon, Mr. Geng Zhiyuan, President of China-Myanmar Friendship Association, Mr. U Soe Win, Vice President of Myanmar-China Friendship Association, Mr. Su Bensheng, Vice President of BPAFFC, Ms.Wang Jin, Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD) of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) and other guests from China and Myanmar attended the opening ceremony.
About 100 photos including architecture of Beijing Lingguang Monastery, murals from Beijing Fahai Temple, Myanmar Buddhist temples and images from Myanmar Photographic Association and copy paintings of China Dunhuang Caves Murals were displayed in the exhibition. ACC, as supporter of the exhibition, networked and exchanged views with the relevant organizations on the future cooperation.
