The 2015 China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Culture Exhibition was held at Nanning International Convention & Exhibition Centre on 29 May 2015. The Exhibition was organized by the CAEXPO Secretariat, Cultural Department of Guangxi and Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film & Television of Guangxi, and supported by ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). Mme. Li Kang, Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region declared the Opening of the Exhibition. Ms. Huang Ying, Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division (GACD) of ACC attended the Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition together with other VIPs from China and ASEAN countries. Delegates from the Ministry of Culture of China, Consulates General of ASEAN Member States in Nanning, State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television of China, as well as Chinese local governments were among the invited guests. ACC delegation visited the exhibitions and exchanged views with the delegates during the event.
The Culture Exhibition featured “Co-building the Maritime Silk Road of the 21st Century, Promoting China-ASEAN Cultural Cooperation” as its theme, aiming to strengthen people-to-people exchanges between both sides. The Exhibition was participated by around 450 cultural agencies and enterprises from China, ASEAN Member States, Japan and ROK, showcasing the diversity and colorful cultural exhibits from different countries.
Thailand, as the Country of Honour for the 12th CAEXPO, also participated in the Culture Exhibition and organized the Thailand Cultural Festival marking the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. ACC, as a supporter of the event, attended the relevant activities.
