On 20 July 2015, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Secretary-General H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping met with Ms. Tian Yan, Standing Vice President of Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (BPAFFC) at ACC. Mr. Su Bengsheng, Vice President of BPAFFC, and Mr. Si Shangguo, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of Shijingshan District, also attended the meeting.
Secretary-General Yang briefed on ACC's mission and objectives as well as the activities ACC had carried out since its establishment. She looked forward to further strengthening exchanges and cooperation with BPAFFC, so as to make joint contribution to the ASEAN-China people-to-people exchanges and friendly contacts.
Ms. Tian Yan expressed that BPAFFC attached great importance to the exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries, and introduced the friendly exchanges between Beijing and ASEAN Member States in recent years. She also expressed her appreciation to ACC for its support and assistance to the work of BPAFFC, and highly praised the achievements ACC had made in promoting ASEAN-China people-to-people exchanges. She hoped to continue to work with ACC for the future promotion of pragmatic cooperation between ASEAN and China.
