On 24 August 2015, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Secretary-General H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping met with Mr. Tan Hung Seng, Permanent Representative of Singapore to ASEAN, Mr. Rahmat Pramono, Permanent Representative of Indonesia to ASEAN and Mr. Chombhala Chareonying, Permanent Representative of Thailand to ASEAN in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Secretary-General Yang Xiuping briefed on ACC’s mandate and efforts in promoting ASEAN-China cooperation. She expressed that ACC would like to strengthen its coordination and cooperation with the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) to ASEAN, in a joint effort to promote the functional cooperation between ASEAN and China.
The Permanent Representatives congratulated Mme. Yang Xiuping following her assumption of office as the Secretary-General of ACC. They expressed their willingness to strengthen ties with ACC and looked forward to participating in ACC activities, and hoped to see more accomplishments in ASEAN-China functional cooperation.
Secretary-General Yang also met with H.E. Mr. Xie Feng, Ambassador of China to Indonesia and H.E. Mr. Xu Bu, Ambassador of China to ASEAN during her stay in Jakarta, and exchanged views on the relations of China-Indonesia and ASEAN-China.
