ACC Secretary-General Met with Director-General of Foreign & Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government

On 17 August 2015, H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with Mr. Huang Feng, Director- General of Foreign & Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government.

During the meeting, Mr. Huang Feng introduced Xiamen’s efforts to strengthen the cooperation with the ASEAN Member States as well as to implement China’s initiative on building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. He also briefed on some major events which would be hosted by Xiamen in the near future to enhance the exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN and sought for ACC’s support and assistance.

Secretary-General Yang expressed that ACC would continue its  communication and coordination with Xiamen and help facilitate the friendly cooperation between Xiamen and the ASEAN Member States, so as to jointly work to further promote ASEAN-China functional cooperation.
