On 16 March 2016, 2016 China Bee Products Cooperation Forum co-hosted by China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Product (CFNA) was held in Chengdu. Secretary-General H. E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Vice President of CFNA Mr. Rong Weidong, Dr. Diao Qingyun from Chinese Academy of Agriculture Science and representatives from enterprises attended the Forum.
Vice President Rong Weidong said that agriculture products was a very important part of ASEAN-China trade. CFNA attached great importance in AESAN-China agricultural products cooperation and had established many platforms for it. With the establishment of ASEAN-China Free Trade Area, zero tariff had been realized in bilateral trade, which might create favourable condition for trade of agricultural products. Nowadays, people could find a lot of ASEAN agricultural products at Chinese market. These products were very popular among Chinese consumers. Thanks to the great support from ACC, Chinese enterprises had more opportunities to match with ASEAN counterparts with broader prospects and more achievements. He hoped to further joint hands with ACC to promote cooperation between ASEAN and China.
Secretary-General Yang Xiuping said ASEAN and China were neighbours linked by mountains and rivers with similar culture. ASEAN Community had now been established, while China was upholding concept of innovation, coordination, green, open, shared development to make better economic and social development during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, in order to achieve the comprehensive goal of building a moderately prosperous society. China’s "One Belt One Road" initiative had received positive response from many countries, including ASEAN countries, and would benefit the whole world. To further promote ASEAN-China exchanges and cooperation in the field of agricultural products was in line with the common interests of both sides. She wished that the forum would create favourable conditions to enterprises all over the world, including ASEAN and China bee importers, distributors, and electronic business platform, for their direct matching, and exploration for more business opportunities.
Dr. Diao Qingyun briefed on ASEAN-China bee products manufacture and trade condition, and proposed that ASEAN-China cooperation be focused on areas such as honey resources sharing, bee diseases prevention and products trade, and to promote healthy and orderly development of the bee products industry.
Enterprise’s representative, CEO of Chengdu Garland Co. Ltd. Mr. Ju Wei shared his own experiences about investing in ASEAN countries and cooperations with ASEAN enterprises. He made constructive advices for Chinese bee products companies to cooperate with foreign ones. ACC representatives interacted actively with the participants, and had a very fruitful and effective discussion about cooperation with ASEAN countries in bee products industry.
