ACC Received Delegation from Renmin University of China

On 23 March 2016, ACC received a delegation of 32 students from the School of International Studies of Renmin University of China, led by Dr. Wang Xingyu, Secretary General of Centre for East Asia Studies and Associate Professor of School of International Studies of Renmin University.

ACC officials from every division elaborated on ASEAN-China cooperation in areas of trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism, as well as ACC's institutional coordination with various bodies. The Renmin University students toured the exhibition hall showcasing the history and monumental achievements of ASEAN-China relations and ACC. During the interactive session, the students raised many questions about ASEAN-China relations, which were answered by the respective officials of ACC. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and every participant enjoyed. 

The students of Renmin University were grateful for ACC’s warm reception and elaborate arrangement, which made their visit to ACC informative and fruitful. The visit helped the university students enhancing their understanding on the importance of ASEAN-China relations, the current development of ASEAN, as well as ACC’s role in promoting bilateral exchanges and cooperation. Dr. Wang Xingyu also expressed willingness for future cooperation with ACC.
