Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN Visited ACC

On 11 March 2016, Chinese Ambassador to ASEAN H.E. Mr. Xu Bu visited ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). ACC Secretary-General H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Xu for the strong support to ACC’s work from Ambassador himself and from the Mission of China to ASEAN as well. SG Yang promised that ACC would keep connections with various circles of society from ASEAN in order to well implement the 19 flagship projects which had been approved by the Joint Council of ACC in 2016. ACC would also actively participate in the activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN-China dialogue relations and the ASEAN-China Year of Educational Exchange, so as to make contributions to promote functional cooperation in all areas between ASEAN and China.

Ambassador Xu spoke highly of ACC’s continuous exploration and innovation in promoting ASEAN-China functional cooperation. Since this year marked the 25th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN-China dialogue relations and the ASEAN-China Year of Educational Exchange, and both sides would discover new opportunities for the development of bilateral relations, Ambassador Xu hoped that ACC would continue to do its best and achieve more success in promoting cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture and tourism between ASEAN and China. Thet Mission of China to ASEAN would continue to support ACC’s work and make joint efforts in well organizing the commemorative activities for 25 years of ASEAN-China dialogue relations.
