On 6 August 2016, H.E. Mme. Yang Xiuping, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with Dr. Jonathan Choi，Chairman of SUNWAH Group of Hong Kong.
Dr. Jonathan Choi briefed on the current situation of SUNWAH Group, especially its investment in ASEAN countries. He said that SUNWAH Group had expanded business constantly in ASEAN countries such as Viet Nam, Myanmar, Cambodia and Singapore, and the Group had become an important partner of those countries. SUNWAH Group participated in social-cultural and educational affairs, and set up the Language and Culture Centre in Cambodia. ACC, as a governmental international organization, had abundant resources and unique advantages. SUNWAH Group looked forwards to continuing to promote cooperation with ASEAN countries with the help of ACC, so as to contribute to ASEAN-China relations in its own way.
Secretary-General Yang Xiuping introduced the function and recent work of ACC, and commended SUNWAH Group for participating in friendly cooperation between ASEAN and China. She said ACC was committed to implementing the consensus reached by the leaders of ASEAN countries and China to promote functional cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture and tourism. ACC would continue to function as a bridge to provide a platform for cooperation between ASEAN-China enterprises. ACC would make joint efforts with all walks of life in ASEAN countries and China to enhance ASEAN-China relations so as to benefit the people of both sides.
