The government of Nanjing attaches great importance to fostering its friendship and cooperation with ASEAN. Nanjing is the first sister city of Brunei and is home to the Tomb of the King of Boni. It hopes to play an even greater role in China’s cooperation with Brunei and ASEAN as a whole and looks forward to continued strong support by ACC.

The Brunei government is working to diversify its economy and welcomes Chinese enterprises, especially those in Nanjing, to expand their businesses into Brunei. In addition, Brunei hopes to learn from Nanjing the best practices in terms of building industrial parks and training skilled personnel as well as to further increase tourism cooperation and personnel exchanges to deepen bilateral relations as next year marks the Year of ASEAN-China Tourism Cooperation.
