ACC Attended Launching Ceremony of ASEAN Mainstream Media and China's Central Leading Overseas-targeted Media: Touring Anhui

On 27 May 2018, the Launching Ceremony of “ASEAN Mainstream Media and China's Central Leading Overseas-targeted Media: Touring Anhui” was held in Hefei, capital of Anhui province. Mr. Yu Aihua, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, Head of Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, attended the ceremony and announced the launching of the activity. Mr. Vithit Powattanasuk, Director of Information and Public Relations Division of ACC, Mr. Zheng Mingwu, Head of Information Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, and journalist representative addressed the launching ceremony.

The reporting trip is co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee and ASEAN-China Center and organized by the Information Office of Anhui Provincial government, the Asia-Pacific Daily and ASEAN Finance. Nearly 40 journalists of mainstream media of 10 ASEAN countries, as well as Chinese media such as China Radio International, China Daily, Asia-Pacific Daily, Visual China would join the visit to Anhui from 27 May to 3 June 2018. The reporting trip took journalists to Hefei, Huaibei, Suzhou, Bengbu, Huainan and Lu’an of Anhui province. Being held for 4 consecutive years, this activity has become an important publicity endeavour for Anhui to promote its development achievements and resources and deepen understanding, friendship and cooperation with ASEAN countries.

Mr. Vithit Powattanasuk made proactive engagement with journalists and gave interview to media from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand respectively.
