On 18 April 2019, Documentary Video and Technical Progress Forum was successfully held at Beijing Broadcasting Tower Hotel thanks to the joint efforts of Beijing TV (BTV) and ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). On behalf of ACC, Ms. Kong Roatlomang, Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division (ECTD) of ACC attended the Forum and delivered remarks.
Director Kong Roatlomang thanked all the partners and friends supporting ASEAN-China exchanges and cooperation and extended congratulations to the Forum. The participants discussed on technology of documentary-making and presentation of documentary images with the aim of improving creative production capacity and elevating the capability of international cultural exchanges and tourism promotion. The 6-episode documentary of “Hi ASEAN—The Belt and Road Tour” co-produced by BTV and ACC was one of the hot topics at the Forum as it is a typical case of “4K new technology applied to the whole process of documentary shooting”. As 2019 is the ASEAN-China Year of Media Exchanges, Director Lomang also exchanged views with other participants on further propelling media partnership between ASEAN and China.
Documentary Video and Technical Progress Forum was within the framework of Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) held annually in Beijing. As a sideline event of BJIFF 2019, the Forum attracted more than 100 participants including those from local media groups and representatives from the embassies of Cambodia and the Philippines.
