On 29 April 2019, the 25th Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair (CLITF) Preparatory Meeting was held in Lanzhou City. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Jia Ning, Deputy Secretary-General of Gansu Provincial Government and Executive Deputy Director of the CLITF Organizing Committee. Nearly 60 representatives from ministries and international organizations including Ministry of Commerce of China, Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) as well as representatives from 21 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenzhen and Xiamen attended the meeting. Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of the ACC Trade and Investment Division attended the meeting upon invitation.
Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Jia Ning announced that the 25th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair was to be held in Lanzhou from 4 to 8 July. Mr. Zhang Yinghua, Director of Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce and Executive Deputy Director of CLITF Organizing Committee, introduced the overall arrangements of the 25th CLITF and the reception, participation and exhibition of the Fair. Representatives of ministries, provinces and cities gave briefings on the preparation and activities to be organized at the fair and made suggestions on the preparatory work.
Director Guo Chuanwei said that ACC would continue to play the role as a one-stop information and activities centre to strengthen cooperation with Gansu in co-hosting the ASEAN-China (Gansu) Trade and Investment Promoting Seminar with Gansu Provincial People’s Government, to invite commercial, economic and investment officials of ASEAN embassies in China to introduce trade and investment policies and business environments. The Seminar is open to enterprises from all provinces and cities.
