ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) held a Micro-video Workshop. Mr. Liu Ning, Editor of Overseas Communication Department of People’s Daily Online and Ms. Morag Hobbs, UK Expert of People’s Daily Onlinewere invited to deliver lectures on how to produce micro-videos. Media officials from embassies of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand as well as officials of Information and Public Relations Division (IPRD) of ACC attended the workshop.
IPRD officials thanked People’s Daily Online for its support to this workshop, stressed that the workshop was aimed at helping embassies of ASEAN Member States in Beijing to further understand the development trend of new media and communication, and better utilise micro-video as a new way to release information, as it’s more appealing to the general public and thus should make publicity more effective. ACC was ready to leverage its own advantages and make joint efforts with the ASEAN side to promote ASEAN-China media exchanges and practical cooperation.
Ms. Morag Hobbs elaborated on the common types, the planning and filming techniques of micro-video, and gave demonstration on-site. Mr. Liu Ning explained the editing process of micro-video production. The two experts also answered questions from ASEAN participants.
Officials from embassies of ASEAN Member States in Beijing thanked ACC for organising the workshop. They appreciated that the workshop focused on practical application with clear explanations from the experts, from which they not only learned about the latest trend in information dissemination, but also acquired techniques to do so.
