On 26 to 27 July 2019,ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) organized a visiting group missioned for trade and investment promotion to Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. The group was led by Mr. Guo Chuanwei, Director of Trade and Investment Division(TID) of ACC, and joined by about 20 representatives of Chinese enterprises in Beijing and Guangdong Province.
The groupvisited the Chinese Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City. Consul-General Wu Jun and Commercial Counsellor Wei Xichen introduced the development, investment environment and relevant policies of Ho Chi Minh City.Theyhad in-depthexchangeswith the Chinese entrepreneurs on economic and trade cooperation, industrial investment and operation, financial integration, intelligent manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce as well as talent exchange in Ho Chi Minh City and its surrounding provinces.
Thegroup visited theInvestment and Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City. Deputy Director Nguyen Tuan highlighted the responsibilities of the Centre and the foreign investment management system and regulations of the city.
The group visited AMATA City Bienhoa JSC. Mr. Osamu Sudo, Head of Marketing and Sales introduced the planning and operation management of the industrial park. He said that the first phase of thepark has been successfully operated for many years, while the second and third phases will be completed next year. He hoped more Chinese investors will start business in AMATA City Bienhoa JSC. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on the international operation of the park, resource docking and project cooperation.
The Chinese entrepreneurs expressed that the visitinggroup organized by ACC was flexible in form and rich in content. Through this trip, the entrepreneurs gained a wide understanding of Viet Nam’s industrial development direction and investment environment, saw the great potential of trade and investment cooperation between Viet Nam and China, enhanced confidence in entering Viet Nam and ASEAN to carry out mutually beneficial cooperation, and identified the direction of coming cooperation.
