On 3 December 2019, Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with Mr. Lui Tuck Yew, newly designated Ambassador of Singapore to China. Secretary-General Chen Dehai congratulated on the latter's assumption of office in China and expressed confidence in future Singapore-China relations. Ambassador Lui Tuck Yew spoke highly of the role played by ACC in promoting friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between ASEAN and China and pledged continuous support to ACC in the future. The two sides exchanged views on how to jointly implement the consensus reached by leaders of ASEAN and China, and strengthen cooperation in digital economy and connectivity so as to promote the sustained development of Singapore-China relations and ASEAN-China relations.
