On 3 July 2020, Ms. Wang Hongliu, Director of General Affairs and Coordination Division of ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) participated in the Online Symposium of New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor hosted by Sichuan International Studies University (SISU).
In her speech, Ms. Wang Hongliu elaborated on the advantages and challenges for promoting connectivity between ASEAN and China, and ACC’s role in promoting the Corridor,. Furthermore, in this current situation, it is important to harness academic resources to help Chinese sectors especially in education, culture, tourism and healthcare to go global, as well as to address the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the on-going connectivity projects in the region.
Officials from the Ministry of Education of China and Chongqing Municipal Government, representatives of industrial associations and enterprises, academics from National University of Singapore among others, and students and staff of SISU joined the event.
