On 16 August 2020, China International Cultural Communication Center (CICCC) hosted the Opening Ceremony of “Intangible Cultural Heritage of the World -Master Luozangdanba’s Thangka Art Exhibition” in Shenzhen. The event gathered approximately 200 participants, and among them were Mr. Long Yuxiang, Executive Chairman of CICCC, Mr. Yang Zhijin, a member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Vice Chairman of the NPC Education, Science, Culture and Public Health Committee, and Ms. Zhang Qiujian, Vice Chairwoman of the Education, Science, Health and Sports Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the opening ceremony upon invitation and delivered remarks.
A total of 66 pieces of Thangka made by Master Luozangdanba were displayed at the exhibition, presenting the inheritance and development of China’s Tibetan traditional culture. The artist, a representative inheritor of China’s national intangible cultural heritage Regong arts, is the 14th generation inheritor of the “Family of Master Painters” of Regong Thangka.
