ACC Secretary-General Chen Dehai Attended Plenary Session of 2020 China Annual Conference for International Education

On 21st October, the Plenary Session of 2020 China Annual Conference for International Education (CACIE 2020) was held in Beijing .

With the theme of “Education Globalisation: For a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”, the conference analysed the direction of development for international education cooperation under the new situation and  explored new prospects for global education. At the opening ceremony, Chinese Minister of Education Mr. Chen Baosheng shared the Chinese government's priorities in education development and approach to epidemic prevention and control for the education sector. He elaborated on further promoting opening up in the sector so that education could play its due role in building a community with a shared future for mankind. Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education, and Mr. Nikki Kerameus, Greek Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, delivered video speeches respectively. Mr. Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange presided over the opening ceremony.

 

Mr. Shen Xiaoming, Governor of Hainan Province of China, Ms. Stefania Giannini, Assistant Director-General of UNESCO, and Mr. Jim Rogers, famous international investor and financial professor, delivered keynote speeches.

 

Mr. Raja Dato’ Nushirwan, Malaysian Ambassador to China attended the conference on behalf of the Guest Country of Honour. ACC Secretary-General Chen Dehai also attended the event upon invitation.
