ACC Attended the China-ASEAN Public-Private Cooperation Forum on Combating COVID-19 Digitally

On 22 October 2020, the China-ASEAN Public-Private Cooperation Forum on Combating COVID-19 Digitally, hosted by Center for International Economic and Technical Cooperation of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of PRC (CIETC, MIIT), was held in Beijing. About 150 representatives from ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), government authorities, enterprises and media from both China and ASEAN Member States (AMS) attended the forum upon invitation. Ms. Fawania, Deputy Director General of Ministry of Post of Lao PDR, Ms. Yang Yuyan，Deputy Director General of Department of Information Technology, MIIT, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks. Mr. Samuel Abanijani, Director General of ICT Application Department of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology of Indonesia, Mr. Li Yikai, Deputy Director General of CIETC, MIIT, briefed about the role of digital economy in combating COVID-19 and the development of international digital economy cooperation. Representatives from Huawei, Tencent, IFLYTEK, China Mobile shared cases of using digital technology to fight against COVID-19.
