ACC Secretary-General Chen Dehai Attended the Special Event of “Presenting Hubei Province to the World”

On 12 April 2021, co-hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and Hubei Provincial People’s Government, the specialevent of Presenting Hubei Province to the World with the theme "Heroic Hubei: Reborn for New Glories" was held in Beijing. Mr. Wang Yi, State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended and addressed the event. Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), diplomatic envoys to China, and representatives of relevant international organizations attended the event. 

Mr. Ying Yong, Secretary of Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Mr. Wang Zhonglin, Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Committee of the CPC, introduced Hubei Province and Wuhan City respectively.They said that Hubei and Wuhan have recovered from the epidemic andare opening their arms to welcome all-round exchanges and cooperation with all countries to share development opportunities and create a better future. 

Mr. Laurent Bili, Ambassador of France to China and Mr. Paulo Estivallet, Ambassador of Brazil to China, expressed their appreciation for the achievements made by Hubei and Wuhan in fighting against the COVID-19 epidemic and in boostingthe economic recovery. They also expressed willingnessto further strengthen exchanges and cooperation betweentheir countries and Hubei and Wuhan.
