ACC Secretary-General Chen Dehai Attended the Meeting between Vice Governor of Henan Province and AMS Diplomatic Envoys

On 19 July 2021, Mr. He Jinping, Vice Governor of Henan Province met with diplomatic envoys of ASEAN Member States (AMS) in China and heads of international organizations who attended the ASEAN-China (Henan) Trade and Investment Promotion Seminar. Mr. Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of Indonesia to China, Mrs. Khamphao Ernthavanh, Ambassador of Lao PDR to China, and Mr. Chen Dehai, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) attended the meeting.

He Jinping said that as entering a new stage, Henan Province follows the new development concept and fosters a new development pattern. It has fully supported and participated in economic and trade promotion activities aiming at opening to ASEAN, and further promoted practical cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two sides.

Ambassador Djauhari Oratmangun mentioned that ASEAN-China relations are in a perfect historical period and both sides are committed to further enhancing friendly exchanges and cooperation. The Promotion Seminar will help ASEAN and Henan Province to enhance mutual understanding and promote new development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh pointed out that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which is of special and profound significance to China. She appreciated the substantial economic and social development of Henan Province and expressed her willingness to actively promote mutual friendly cooperation.

Chen Dehai thanked the Henan Provincial government for its strong support to the work of ACC, saying that ACC will continue to play the role of a bridge and promote the deepening of cooperation between AMS and Henan Province in various fields to a new level.

Mr. Boun Inthabandith, Consulate-General of the Lao PDR in Changsha, trade and investment officers from AMS embassies and consulates including Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand, and heads of relevant departments of Henan Provincial Government attended the meeting.
