ACC Representative Met with Minister Counselor of British Embassy in China

On 15 June, Ms. Wang Hongliu, Director of the General Affairs and Coordination Division of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with Mr. Giles Montagnon, Minister Counselor of the British Embassy in China. The two sides exchanged views on the current international situation, ASEAN-China relations and regional cooperation. 

Ms. Wang introduced ACC and its important role in facilitating friendly exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN and China. She said that ACC is willing to carry out more exchanges with ASEAN’s dialogue partners, so as to jointly promote regional cooperation. 

Mr. Montagnon pointed out that East Asia is becoming more important in driving world economic growth and addressing global common challenges. As ASEAN’s new dialogue partner, the UK is willing to work with China for regional peace, stability and development, and strengthen exchanges with ACC.
