ACC Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun Gives Interview to CGTN

On 4 November 2022, H.E. Mr. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre, gave an interview to China Global Television Network (CGTN) on the upcoming 25th ASEAN-China Summit in Cambodia and the economic, trade and cultural cooperation between ASEAN and China. The interview was broadcast on CGTN’s Global Watch programme and its website on November 10.

Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun said that it will be the first time for the leaders of ASEAN and China to meet face to face since the pandemic. We expect the Summit to approve new plans for the development of ASEAN-China relations and further promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in various fields. Since the beginning of the year, ASEAN and China have overcome the difficulties of the pandemic to continue to deepen economic and trade cooperation and enhance exchanges in education, culture, tourism and between the youth. Looking to the future, the two sides could strengthen cooperation in such areas as agriculture development and food security, digital economy and green development, bringing more benefits to the people of the region.
