ACC Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun Attended 2022 ASEAN-China Vision Group Final Meeting

On 1 December 2022, H.E. Mr. Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), attended the ASEAN-China Vision Group Final Meeting upon invitation. Mr. Xu Bu, President of the China Institute of International Studies (CIIS), Mr. Jusuf Wanandi, co-founder of the Indonesian Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and well-known experts and scholars from ASEAN and China attended the meeting. They exchanged views on topics such as international geopolitics, Asia Pacific situation, and ASEAN-China cooperation, and reviewed the achievements of the group’s work over the year.

Secretary-General Shi introduced ACC and shared his views on the relation between ASEAN and China. He noted that ASEAN and China have become important forces for promoting peace, stability and common prosperity in the region and even the world. Recently, the two sides have carried out summit diplomacy and bilateral interaction, and their comprehensive strategic partnership has been further strengthened. The two sides should seize the opportunity and the momentum to promote modernization that fits East Asia, and jointly safeguard multilateralism. ACC is willing to actively implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of two sides, and promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation. ACC would also strengthen communication with the ASEAN-China Vision Group to seek regional development in the new era.
