ACC Secretary General Shi Zhongjun Published Article on People’s Daily

On 6 February 2023, H.E. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) published an article on People’s Daily and People.cn entitled “Moving Forward in Building our Home Together”. In the article, Secretary General Shi reviewed the latest achievements of ASEAN-China cooperation over the past year and looked forward to the bright prospects of the relations between the two sides.

Secretary General Shi stressed that in the past year, President Xi Jinping held a series of bilateral meetings with leaders of ASEAN Member States and the two sides reached important consensus, charting the course of and injecting impetus into the sound development of ASEAN-China relations. ASEAN and China have achieved fruitful results in the all-round cooperation, moving forward in build a peaceful, safe and secure, prosperous, beautiful and amicable home together. The year 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of China’s accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, as well as the ASEAN-China Year of Agricultural Development and Food Security Cooperation. The ACC will continue to play the role of a bridge, promote the sustained development of ASEAN-China comprehensive strategic partnership and write a new chapter in ASEAN-China cooperation.
