ACC Secretary General Shi Zhongjun Met with Chinese Ambassador Lu Kang to Indonesia

On 25 February 2023, H.E. Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with H.E. Ambassador Lu Kang of China to Indonesia in Jakarta. 

Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun said that Indonesia, assuming the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN in 2023, designated “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth” as the annual theme. The ACC stands ready to strengthen communication with the Chinese Embassy in the purpose of accommodating needs on both sides and carry out more cooperation to help achieve concrete results in such areas of economic growth, trade and investment facilitation, and people-to-people exchanges. 

Ambassador Lu Kang extended warm welcome to Secretary General Shi’s visit to Indonesia and appreciated the unique role played by the ACC in deepening ASEAN-China relations and enhancing mutual understanding and trust among the peoples in recent years. The Embassy commits to working with the ACC to further tap on potential for cooperation and push through highlight projects, so as to advance China-Indonesia and China-ASEAN relations in greater depth and breadth.
