Spring Literati Gathering for ASEAN Diplomats in China Successfully Held

On the afternoon of 15 April 2023, the “Celebrating Art, Beauty, and Life” - Spring Literati Gathering for ASEAN Diplomats in China was successfully co-hosted by the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), the Centre for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) of the Ministry of Education of China and the Beijing Language and Culture University at the coming of International Chinese Language Day. H.E. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ACC, H.E. Ambassador Tin Maung Swe of Myanmar to China, Mrs. Elsiwi Oratmangun, wife of the Indonesian Ambassador to China, Mr. Dino R. Kusnadi, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister of the Embassy of Indonesia in China and his wife, Mr. Benjamin Sukanjanajtee, Deputy Chief of Mission and Minister of the Embassy of Thailand in China, Mr. Hu Zhiping, Deputy Director-General of CLEC and over 30 diplomats and spouses from Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Viet Nam and other ASEAN countries in China attended the event. 

The ACC Secretary General Shi Zhongjun extended warm welcome to all guests and expressed heart-felt appreciation to female diplomats for their contribution to ASEAN-China cooperation. He hoped that participants would take this event as an opportunity to enhance friendship while experiencing the charm of Chinese traditional culture and using their wisdom and talents to promote friendly bilateral collaboration in all fields.

Guests deeply enjoyed an experience of traditional Chinese art of music, tea, painting and flower arrangement brought by Chinese artists. The atmosphere at the gathering was warm and friendly.
