Secretary General Shi Zhongjun Meets Ambassador of the Philippines to China

On 29 May 2023, H.E. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) received H.E. Ambassador Jaime A.    FlorCruz of the Philippines to China at the ACC.

Secretary General Shi outlined the ACC’s ongoing efforts in advancing ASEAN-China friendly relations and practical cooperation in various fields. Ambassador Jaime appraised the ACC’s long playing an active and constructive role in bringing ASEAN and China closer and expressed keen interests in several areas of cooperation, particularly in trade, tourism, education and youth exchanges. 

Moreover, both sides reiterated the importance of maintaining a stable, solid and sound ASEAN-China relationship to the region, and further explored ways forward in terms of materializing concrete cooperation programs through the ACC platform within the year to add fresh strength to ASEAN-China relations and bring tangible benefits to the peoples.
