SEAMEO RIHED Delegation Visits the ACC

On 12 June 2023, a delegation led by Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Director of the Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development of Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO RIHED) visited the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), and met with Ms. Li Yaying, Deputy Director of Education, Culture and Tourism Division. Representatives from ASEAN-China Alliance of Private Higher Education Institutions (ACAPHEI) secretariat in Sanya University attended the meeting.

The two sides exchanged views on further promoting post-pandemic higher education cooperation in the region, and making greater use of such platforms as the ASEAN-China Network for Cooperation and Exchanges among Engineering and Technology Universities (ACNET-EngTech), ASEAN-China Arts Colleges Alliance (ACACA) and ACAPHEI. The two sides reached consensus on further strengthening cooperation with education section of the ASEAN Secretariat, regional centers of SEAMEO and making full use of the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) in Guizhou, to advance higher education cooperation and support student mobility programs and mutual understanding among youth in the region.
