On 28 August 2023, H.E. Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) met with H.E. Dr. Nyunt Phay, Union Minister of Education of Myanmar during the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) in Guiyang, Guizhou Province of China.
Following their last meeting in late July in Nay Pyi Taw, the two sides further exchanged views on strengthening the education cooperation between Myanmar and China, as well as other ASEAN Member States (AMS) in the directions of high-quality higher education (such as the newly established comprehensive Nay Pyi Daw State Academy) and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) development, as well as personnel exchange and joint research, especially in the areas of economy, law, science and technology.
